Welcome again to the presentation of the Federal Republic of Germany
It is an honour and pleasure to invite you to the eighteenth consecutive participation of the Federal Republic of Germany at CPM, offering the German Fashion Industry another great opportunity to benefit from the ongoing increase of market share of German brands in Russia.
At this show, focusing on the purchasing season for Autumn/Winter 2012/13, 167 German companies decided to exhibit their collections on a net floor space of more than 6.600 square meters, located in pavilion Forum and pavilion 4 (mens- and womenswear, accessories, lingerie day- and night underwear, brassières, homewear, swimwear), hall 2.2 (CPM KIDS for childrenswear), hall 2.4 (Fashion and Denim) and hall 8.1. (CPM PREMIUM) at the fairgrounds of Krasnaja Presnja Expocentr. The offer does not only concentrate on Character Brands of the medium-to-upper medium market segments, including womenswear, menswear, leatherwear, casualwear, young fashion, childrenswear, lingerie, club- and evening wear, but also on prestigious designer fashion and accessories. A cross-section of this portfolio is showcased at CPM Fashion Catwalk, organised in Pavilion 8.3 within the event programme of the fair.
Although German fashion suppliers suffered from a continuous reduction of exports to Russia over the years 2009 and 2010, business has picked up again since the beginning of 2011 and reached a shipment value of € 465 million over the first nine months of 2011, up by 22 per cent against the same period of 2010. This increase was even topped by men's wear sales having reached a growth of 32 per cent, comparing to an increase of women's wear exports to Russia 16 per cent. Lingerie and Underwear shipments to Russia registered a remarkable rise of 18 per cent. Given such positive development the majority of German exhibitors at CPM expect to reach pre-crisis levels of fashion sales to Russia by end of 2011.
Several German brands also promote their Shop-in-Shop and Store Franchising Systems under the CPM STORE CONCEPT scheme. Moreover they support the programme of RUSSIAN FASHION RETAIL FORUM (RFRF) which opens for trade visitors on February 29, and March 1, 2012 under the title of "Multi-Channel Fashion Sales Opportunities in Russia".
At the information stand of the Federal Republic of Germany, located in pavilion Forum, booth no. Fo-F01, our experts will be glad to consult you on supplementary import and export opportunities and respond to questions on economic relations with Germany.
With all our best wishes for a successful visit to this presentation.
